The Branch Annual General Meeting will take place on Wednesday, 2nd of March 2022 at 5.30pm-7.30pm.

Due to ongoing uncertainties regarding COVID, we have decided for it to be run in a hybrid (virtual and in person) format. This is subject to change if Government and UNISON guidance changes. You will be notified in advance.

What happens at the AGM?

At the meeting Branch Officers will present their reports and field your questions. Elections to the Executive Committee, London Region Council, London Region Community Service Group Committee and National Delegate Conference will be held at the meeting. We will also debate and decide upon any motions on branch policy submitted by our membership.

Who can attend the Branch AGM?

The meeting is open to all members of UNISON Housing Associations Branch. If you wish to attend, please confirm it by sending an e-mail with your full name, membership number and name of the employer to AGM.Admin@unisonhablondon.org When sending an email, please also as if you wish to attend the AGM in person or virtually.

Can I bring a guest?

A member of the Branch can bring a guest. Guests are able to observe but they can not vote. If you would like bring one, please include their name in your confirmation e-mail.

Is there a deadline to confirm my attendance at the AGM?

Members and their guests who wish to attend in person, have to confirm their attendance by 12.00pm (noon) on Monday, 28th February 2022. This is a venue requirement.

Those who are planning join the meeting virtually can confirm their attendance at the later date. However, to ensure being let in to the meeting without delay, please email your name, membership number and name of your employer no later than 3.00pm on Wednesday, 2nd of March 2022.

Who can submit a motion and be nominated to any of the positions?

Anybody who meets the criteria stated on the nominations and motions form is eligible to submit a motion or to be nominated to any of the Branch positions. The deadline for submitting nominations and motions is 8:00pm on Monday, 14th February 2021.

We particularly encourage nominations from Women, BAME, Low Paid, Young, LGBT+ and Disabled members as these groups are under-represented in the current Branch structure.

Where do I find my membership number?

Your membership number is stated under your name on your UNISON membership card. It is also incorporated in the footnote of all email correspondence about AGM and Branch’s Newsletter. If you still have difficulty finding it, please e-mail your full name and the name of your employer to AGM.Admin@unisonhablondon.org

Can I claim travel expenses if I attend the AGM in person?

Members are eligible to claim travel expenses when attending Branch meetings in person. Please see Branch Members Expenses Policy for more details. You can download Expenses Claim Form here.
