Paid Time Off

Attendance at this event should attract paid time off as you have a legal right to reasonable paid time off for training in your union industrial relations duties.  You should give your manager as much notice as possible, and if asked, provide them with information about the content of the course.  If you experience difficulties in securing time off contact your branch in the first instance.

I very much hope you will join us for this event which we hope will better equip you to carry out your role, demystify some of the processes around common workplace issues and provide guidance on what to do or where to go for support if  you encounter a problem.

If you would like to attend please contact Cally Thompson on c.thompson@unison.co.uk or 0207 535 6610, or contact the UNISON Housing Association branch (London) for an application form. Please make sure you request time off using your local procedure as soon as you apply – don’t delay until your place is confirmed.

You will be contacted with confirmation of your place and final details will be sent to those that register nearer the time.
